New Pedestrian Infrastructure in Ward 8 

Ward 8 has received funding for the construction of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) at two existing pedestrian crossings thanks to additional funding from last November’s budget adjustments.  

We received recommendations for four potential locations from the City’s Mobility Team on January 16th based on data showing roadway geometry, speed limit, traffic volumes, pedestrian volumes, collision history, and previous requests: 

1. 10 Avenue & 7 Street SW

3. Royal Avenue & 8 Street SW

Our first Ward 8 Date with Nate on rezoning is Sunday, January 25 from 3 to 5 pm at the Sunalta Community Hub.  

We are asking all those interested to RSVP on or before January 24 to save your spot.
